What are some creative ways to dress up plain black curtains?
I need new curtains for my room, but I don't want to do anything boring.
I'm going to purchase plain black floor length curtains. My room is colors of purple and pink. I would really like to do something kind of creative to them to make them more personal. any ideas?

I'm also trying to keep it more chic and adult, so I can possibly use the same curtains in my dorm room next year.
Get some sheets of heavy-duty clear plastic - like some shower curtain that is totally clear and see-through. Cut it up into squares and sew them onto the curtains like pockets. Now you can put photos or other images in the pockets, or put some stuff in them like souvenirs and movie tickets, etc.
Or, you could get some other fabric or ribbon and tie it in strips from the top and let it hang down and kind of blow in the breeze.
