Need help assigning FANS to my MOBO?
I have three, "3 pin" case fans. My Motherboard has the following: 1, PwrFan- 3 pin; 1 PCH-Fan- 3 pin; 1 SysFan1- 3Pin; SysFan2- 4Pin. What are all those connectors and what am I hooking the fans up to? My PSU doesn't have any connectors for this.
It really doesn't make much difference which of those 3 pin plugs you plug your fans into.
The 4 pin one is probably a temp sensor that raises fan speeds as necessary due to system heat.
The only one that really matters is plugged into the correct plug on your board is the CPU fan, which will have its own plug labelled for it.
